Description
Overview
Silent Hill: Townfall marks a historic first for the franchise — the first psychological horror title in the Silent Hill series to feature a fully first-person perspective. Developed by Scottish studio Screen Burn Interactive and co-published by Annapurna Interactive and Konami, it trades the series’ usual American small towns for a foggy Scottish coastline, delivering a fresh, standalone entry in one of horror gaming’s most iconic franchises. KONAMI DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT B.V.
Story
Set in 1996, players take on the role of Simon Ordell, an outsider who repeatedly finds himself waking up in the icy water by the docks of St. Amelia — a remote, fog-shrouded fictional coastal town in Scotland with no apparent connection to him. As Simon pieces together fragments of his past, the boundaries between reality and memory blur, staying true to the series’ signature psychological horror roots while exploring an unsettling world where the presence of those who once lived there still lingers. St. Amelia is inspired by the real village of St Monans in Fife, and the 1996 setting was deliberately chosen as home computers and the early internet were just taking off.
