Football season is officially back. EA Sports FC 27 launches worldwide on September 25, 2026, and it’s shaping up to be the biggest entry in the franchise yet — bigger roster, a brand-new social mode, and refined gameplay built around precision. Whether you’re a die-hard Ultimate Team grinder or just want to play a season with your favorite club, here’s everything worth knowing before you pick up your copy.

What’s New in FC 27

This year’s headline addition is The Grounds — a brand-new open-world social hub supporting up to 100 players at once. Think of it as football’s answer to a shared social space: player-created districts, mini-games, and Clubs mode woven directly into a living, persistent world. It’s a genuinely new way to hang out and play with friends outside of traditional match structures.

Beyond that, FC 27 brings:

• Over 35 leagues and 130 stadiums for authentic, global club football
• 21,000+ players, the largest roster in series history
• New precision-focused gameplay mechanics, giving players tighter, more responsive control on the pitch
• Returning fan-favorite modes: Ultimate Team, Career Mode, and Clubs

Note: The Grounds is supported on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Switch 2 — it won’t be available on PS4, Xbox One, or the original Switch.

Editions and Pricing

FC 27 is available in two editions right now:

Standard Edition — 299 AED
The full game with access to every core mode at launch. This is also the only edition available on physical disc this year — if you want a hard copy for your shelf, Standard is the one to get.

Ultimate Edition Everything in Standard, plus:

• 7 days of early access (playable from September 18, 2026)
• 6,000 FC Points
• A Season 1 Pass
• An extra FUT EVO slot
• A 92+ OVR FC 26 ICON player item (not available on Nintendo platforms)

The previously available Ultimate Plus Edition has already sold out its early-bird window and is no longer available to pre-order.

Tip: Active EA Play subscribers and anyone who owns FC 26 get an automatic 10% discount on FC 27, regardless of edition.

Physical Disc vs Digital

If you’re buying for PS5 and want a physical copy, keep in mind only the Standard Edition ships on disc this year. Ultimate Edition is digital-only, so if early access and bonus FUT content matter more to you than a physical copy, go digital. If you’d rather own a hard copy to trade in or keep on your shelf, Standard disc is your only option — and it’s fully in stock and ready to pre-order with us now.
